Human Capital Information System The
HCIS is a software designed strictly in accordance with object oriented design
and methodlogy. This makes it not only a lot scalable and the customization a
lot easier but also makes the integration of HCIS with other information system
simple.
The Value of each individual working in an organization is based on the contributions
made by that person to the organization for which organization incurs certain
costs. The cost incurred by the organization is generally less than the contributions
made by Human Asset.
The important facets to be considered are Acquisition Cost, Development Cost,
Current Retention Cost (Gross Emoluments including maintenance and separation
cost), Current Performance Appraisal Index (Key Performance Areas Index), Job
Satisfaction Index, Future Retention Cost (Future Gross Emoluments including maintenance
and separation cost), Potential Appraisal Index, Experience Index, Total Experience
of the Employee, Organizational Experience, Measurement of Total Human Capital
Value of the Organization, Organizational Climate, Organizational Efficiency,
Industry's Efficiency, Labour Turnover, Labour Unrest, Output Per Employee, et.
al. Total
Human Capital Value (THCV) After having calculated HC Values for all employees
by the above method, we add all the individual values and multiply the total value
with, OCI, EFI, LTI, LUI, and OPE. OCI is an organizational factor which shall
be measured by the use of primary data using a structured questionnaire. In the
second stage OCI may be separately measured for each level in the organizational
hierarchy. Other indexes take into consideration the organizational and environmental
factors on selected parameters. Hence Total HC value is not the simple addition
of individual values of all the employees of the organization. It may be more
or less depending upon the organizational and environmental factors. Scenario
Planner: Along with the reporting facility an advanced scenario planner
has also been integrated with the HCIS. This allows for the decision makers to
measure the effect of any decisions of action of the management on the Human Capital.
Since the predictive capability of the planner is definitive in nature drawing
heavily from the statistical models on trend analysis and not merely probabilistic
it emowers the managers to plan for development of Human Capital with greater
accuracy. The design of the interface has been kept very intuitive in nature and
design. Speech Enabled query interface and help sections make the interface highly
user-friendly.
Areas of future Research: 1. Development of Human Transformation Index
specifications for implementation of the same organizations independent and exclusive
of HCIS 2. Detailed study of correlation between the share prices and the
